Vista is not compatible with any software that was compatible with earlier verisons of windows. It's probably not your camera...it's the camera software that came with it. You can use the picture editor and viewer already in your computer.
There are "fixes" on line for incompatiblity issues...but you need to google what you are trying to do...to find them. I was helping a friend...we found them for a printer she had
I had already heard about Vista...when I bought my last dell 4 months or so ago. You were allowed to chose which software. I opted out of Vista hell.
