So.....I am in another predicament with Kiwi...ugh I tell you what, this little girl causes me more trouble! But I love her so much, so I don't care.
Here's the latest issue with her: her teeth! She is an approx. 7 y/o RESCUE, with many, many health issues, some of which include seizures (on phenobarb. for that), serious separation anxiety, liver issues, kidney issues, and some other things. But she is just a little sweetie...total opposite of Kobi (the yorkshire TERROR). Okay, so you got a little background..now...
Since she is a rescue, she had horrible teeth when they took her in, and so she got nearly all pulled (all front and some in the back). I estimate now she has about 6-8 teeth...I can't count for sure, but regardless, she doesn't chew anything. She swallows her food whole (no teeth to chew), and she is WAY WAY above playing with toys or chewing on chews or treats or anything...
. She sits on her "perch" all day and sleeps most of the time.
So here's the issue...her teeth are horrible already with tartar and lots of build-up. My opinion is, why can't I just pull the rest of them? She never uses them. But the vet tech wants to clean them and then get me to start brushing. Okay, fine and dandy if you don't know her personality, but I do, and if you think she's going to sit there and deal with me brushing her teeth, YOU'RE WRONG! lol She is silly as heck, and would never allow that. So she just had them cleaned in October (6 mos or so ago) and the already need to be cleaned. The vet wants between $260-290 to clean them
!
If you were in my position, what would you do? Trust me, I want HONEST opinions. Please don't be mean, but if you think it's mean to pull them, LET ME KNOW! I won't be upset or in any way offended...that is why I'm asking.
