I'd be very straight forward and tell the vet how disappointed you are in how they were cared for. That is totally rediculous!! (sp) So glad you're back now and your furbabies are getting spoiled with lots of love and TLC. Don't be so hard on yourself, you had no idea they'd be cared for in such a way.
