Another thing is that, although he is potty trained, if he does have an accident, he does know that he's done wrong, and slinks away to his crate, and blanks of the door with a little blanket that sits on his bedding. Is this the norm for these little babies. He'll always be our little baby, lol.

Yorkies hair is the same as human hair so some of it will come out especially when changing from puppy coat to adult coat. do not worry it is natural the same as when you brush your own hair and some will come out in the hairbrush or comb. I would recommend you use a good conditioner when you shampoo your yorkie and that will help.
