You said it was really really hot where you live. Could the air conditioning or a fan be scaring her?

Have you started a log/diary chronicling the time/day/area/weather conditions of when she loses it? It might be easier to link something together if you have everything written down in a chart complete with date/description, even down to what you are wearing.

Are you wearing a jingling bracelet? High heels?

Did you check all of her toenails?
