I've done home cuts on my 5 year old for 3 years now. The trimmer I used to use, used AAA batteries, it became way too expensive. So I bought a trimmer from Walmart, It's rechargeable and it works great, it just doesn't hold the charge long enough to do the whole dog. Part 1 one night, Part 2 second night. Now with the addition of my 11week old, and my mom bought his sister, I have 3 to groom.

In the winter, I don't cut them. I do try to cut them in the spring/summer time around 1-2 times. And we love the puppy cut, he looks sooo cute.

I was looking online and saw the Oster, Wahl and Andis. From reviews from Amazon, I'm leaning towards the Oster golden a5 2speed. It's a little pricey though.
