Yes, I think it would be wonderful if you brought her flowers and/or lunch. I think the gift and spending time with her will make her feel less alone in what she's going through. Talk to her about her cat, many people avoid talking about the dead pet/person, because they don't know what to say, but I'm sure she it will help her if you do.

You sound like you are a good friend, I'm sure she will appreciate anything you do.
