Hiii Debiii . . . congrats on turning 50 soon!!! good luck on your book and your trip!!! where are you planning on going?
i think at 50 i see myself traveling and enjoying life. watching my parents turn 50 taught me a lesson, never take life TOO seriously and enjoy eveything for what it IS . . .
my parents are divorced . . . in their late 40's they BOTH had a boyfriend or girlfriend who were considerable younger. i thought that was cool, having someone younger MADE THEM FEEL younger. they're attitudes toward life even changed and they were happier people. BUT when the label "50" came around for my mom, she got dumped by her "younger man" and fell into a deep-deep depression (*here we are a few years later and she's NOT over it*). she didn't even celebrate her 50th birthday.

my dad on the other hand had a HUGE party and MARRIED his younger girlfriend about a month after turning 50, and aparently they're living happily ever after.

go figure.
as for me . . . i'm 25, i had my son when i was young (17) so the 1st thing that pops into my head when i think about myself at 50 is "how many grandchildren will i have at 50, what will they look like, what will they grow up to be?" and also "what's my son goin to grow up to be?", "by the age of 50 how many more children will I have?" OH ANOTHER GOOD QUESTION I ASK MYSELF
"will i have finally hit the lottery by 50???" hahahaha
like the NY state lotto slogan says "hey ya neva know!!!"
