You are not being overly protective at ALL! My sister-in-law dropped our baby when he was ten weeks old. Then, my sister dropped our baby when he was 14 weeks old. He is okay, but now only hubby and I hold him. People have made comments that we are over protective, but what do they know? Yorkies and all toy breeds are especially delicate. So, if being overly protective is what we have to do to keep them safe, then so be it. People dont understand unless they have owned a toy-sized pup, especially when he or she has been dropped. And guess what.. when someone drops the dog they seem to get defensive and not apologize! So you do what you have to!
