Is this his first vet visit since you got him? If he has never had blood work done you might consider getting a blood panel on him before his shots. Also, you might ask to vet to check his patella's. It is recommended that Yorkies do not get the lepto shot so you might ask the vet if he feels lepto is a problem in your area. Most of the time dogs react very little to the shots. Some might get a little sore and they might sleep a little more. Some dogs have bad reactions, especially if they get the lepto shot so you will just need to watch him close for the first couple of hours. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
