I wouldn't sell that person a puppy either!
I don't breed, but I do foster. I like to know how the two pups I personally adopted out are doing (the pups I fostered for the humane society, I don't keep in contact w/ their families, b/c the HS arrange their adoptions). The parents keep in contact with me once or twice a year and send pics. If I haven't heard from them in awhile, I'll send a quick email, just asking how they are doing and tellng them I'd love to see new pics if they have any. I always let them know that if they need anything, I"m here for them.
I'll occassionally send the shelter I got Laney and Schatzie from a quick notes and pictures, and tell them thanks for all the work they do.
I send the lady I got Slade from emails and pics frequently. Not to long ago, she sent an email asking how he was doing, and it made me feel good that she cares about what happens to him in life. |
