Default supervision

that is what is boils down to, Supervise Play time, until you feel comfortable with your kids & new puppy been alone or playing alone and maybe it will be years before you can actually trust them a few seconds alone, I don't have any children but I have 2 Rottweilers, they do not only have a bad rep( Rottweilers that is they do have it bad) not my babies they are the sweetest dogs in the world, but they are very large. All I can say is they get along just fine, of course they can't play with my yorkie like they would like to or how they play with each other, but I supervise their time together, just so they get to know each other, and play with each other, gently, I find my self saying that a lot and be careful ! but If can manage 2 larger Rottweilers getting along (2 over 120 pound Rotties) with my Nemo ( 1.pound 4 ounces Yorkie) you should be ok, after all we are in this familly all together now, But I definatly think supervision is the key..It should be a lot easier for you since you kids will understand that you have to be gentleand they will get older and it will be easier for you. Good luck and have patience, as far as for me, We will always have supervise Play time
p/s My Simba ( 140 lbs) & Nala ( 120lbs) ( Rottweilers
they are affraid of Nemo, in the short 3 weeks he runs the house, short stuff is the boss around, even my boss sometimes (LOL)
