Sammy is a drama queen with her crate. She sleeps in it by choice, with the door open, for most of the day. But oh my gosh put her in there when she doesn't want to be and it's a temper tantrum. Sometimes I put her in there and she just chills. Sometimes she throws a fit! (Oh and if she knows you are leaving and not taking her - watch out! But we've checked and as soon as there is no one to listen to her, she stops, imagine that!) It's improved a LOT since we first got her, but we just took it slowly and praised her when she was quiet. I would give it a few more days before completely giving up! Try giving her a stuffed Kong when she goes in there to keep her busy. Then she will learn the crate is a good thing! |
