Conner went to the vet and had a blood test. Then we came home, and I had to feed him bacon (the vet said he wanted to see how his liver functioned). Then back to the vet an hour later for another blood test. The vet said he has decreased liver function, but it is something that would never have been recognized if he wern't going to have surgery. He is now on liver pills again and also Hills l/d prescription dry dog food (he loves it).
After he finishes the pills (approximately 2 months), we go for another liver test.
We found this out because Conner was going to have LP surgery.
