um yes, Ive left my dogs alone in my car once or twice for 5 mins... thats it, 5 mins! I won't do it anymore though... unless I run into to pay for gas or something. I hear all those horror stories also and would never leave my dogs in the car while I go into somewhere where i cannot see the car and the dogs from the inside of the place.
