This is a bit harsh. Just because I might leave my dog in a car, locked with the ac or heat on while I run in to pay for gas or something, doesn't mean if someone breaks into my car, that I don't deserve to take my dog with me. What about when traveling.....I can't take her into the gas station when I have to use the bathroom, or into McDonalds while we eat. I alway have my car in view, and I don't live in a big city or do we travel through big cities. My dogs are my family and I treat them better than most people do with kids.

There are many reasons people might leave there animals in the vehicles, you can't make a blanket statement and not get some people riled up.
