I will admit that I leave Laney (my pit mix) in the car, but that is very, very rare, usually just when we are on a trip and I have to run in and use the rest room and I can't take her with me. The same goes for Slade. If you are on a road trip alone, its unavoidable.
Sometimes I'll take Slade w/ me on the drive to the post office, but he can't go in. However, the way our post office is set up, it has huge glass windows and I can see him the entire time I'm in there.
HOWEVER, if the weather is above 75, I don't take them places where they would have to stay in the car, its way to hot. |
