Ok, there is this dog house with stairs/ladder--we tried that but the ladder was too narrow and too steep.
Next (after removing ladder) we put an ottoman next to the doghouse so they could jump to the ottoman, to the flat roof/bed of the doghouse to the bed.
Still too high a jump to the ottoman.....so now we bought the 3 steps at Target, which is pushed next to the ottoman, which is next to the doghouse.......this works.
