Okay, thanks for the clarification - that helps. Still, I defer to Nikki's great quote above (better to do something than nothing).

Beyond that though, there are a lot of kindly people out there who just don't know better - so, it'd even be helpful to say "if you're not going to support xyz bc of what they did, then please also remember to not support abc as they are also part of xyz". Educate and share information.

On the other hand - take me for the example. I'm a pescetarian (eat fish, not meat), but my dogs eat meat, my hubby does, I'll even cook meat for others....bc 1) it's not my place to force my beliefs on others and 2) I can feel *good* about doing something (dang it!) toward not throwing my money at slaughterhouses. I look for cruelty free, free range, cage free products - I do *what I can*. What else can I do?

So, we could "judge" me - as in "well, who the heck is she - why is she not vegan then? Is there any leather in her house? Is there gelatin, which is made from cow hooves, in her supplements??" - I mean, if that's who we were as people, there would be NO reason to do *anything* - if we were judged that everything we do is "just too small".

That's what I think. Do big things when you can, do small things when you can - and be proud of it either way.
