I used to pretty good at parts and top knots!! It took a long time to get good at this. I was never an expert though. Now that I have MS, my hands and eyes dont work together as good anymore so I need help sometimes. I right eye doesnt "see" detail as good as it did. But I love grooming!! Most exhibitors at the shows are so helpful and are great teachers for grooming!!
I also do a quick brush on the table. After all, I want my dog to look as good as possible!!! There are gels to keep the part "in" and it is ok to use for the show ring. (used very sparingly) Good luck!!! |
