Wish i could help more but I am just learning myself.
Dee when that coat hits the ground and you get up in 5 in the morning to bathe, blow dry and flat iron that dog the day of the show you will want to get everyone of those precious hairs in place before the judges watches your dog move. Judges don't mind. Remember that those judges were exhibitors first.
