Hunter did this a couple weeks ago. Our vet told us that he basically jammed the end of his paw kinda like we jam our finger. He said just to watch and make sure that after a while he started to use it again. He was the same way he made no noise when we pushed or did anything to his paw. Hunter limped around for about a week and will still do it when it is convenient for him
