When we had our furbaby spayed, the doctor didn't come out. The vet tech talked to my husband (I was at work). I called and talked to the vet tho afterward to arrange for an overnight stay at a local ER hospital. Then I talked to the vet a couple of days later to get more pain meds since Pookie was still in pain.
As for shaving, I think I would go to a good groomer (get some recommendations if possible since groomers vary widely) and ask if a puppy cut would take care of the tangles. We have Pookie's hair cut in a puppy cut regularly since I tried the brushing route with her and still wound up with tangles. Everyone comments on how cute she is. |
