I would stay away from Malamutes! I had one that jumped up and pulled a cat right out of my arms and proceded to try to kill it. This dog also cornered my bloodhound puppy and tried to kill her too. The neighbor was boarding two malamutes and they killed her yorkie.
I loved the bloodhound!! She was great!! My Labs were always good around smaller dogs too.
I saw a Leonberger for the first time this week-end. What a gorgeous dog!!!!!!!! The owner said they were water rescue and herding dogs. I forgot to ask if they were good around small dogs. I wouldnt come into a yard that had a Leonberger as they are soooooooo big and look mean, even though they are not. |
