Gee, my vet told us about it way before the surgery. It was $10.00 a tooth in Phoenix area. They gave me a little vial with his baby teeth in it. Maybe your vet isn't well-informed in Yorkies because I think this is fairly common in them. Not saying anything bad about your vet, it's hard to be an expert in every breed.
