Surgery Update I picked Korki up Friday and she was very very sore and groggy. Her teeth didn't seem to bother her but she did have a bunch of stitches on her tummy. The Dr. didn't prescribe any pain meds or antibotics. He took out 8 extra teeth and said she had a few loose that would come out on their own. One already has.
I held her most of Friday night. She didnt' eat at all so I gaver her a bit of Nuti-cal every couple of hours. She really didn't want it but a dab on the nose and she would lick it off. Saturday she was much better. She had a scrambled egg for breakfast. She didn't want it but I hand fed it to her and she took about half. She slept most of the morning in my arms and by afternoon was much more awake and alert. She was potting during this time. I would just taker her out and she would go, then right back inside.
Sunday she was pretty much back to normal, but a little subdued. She's sleeping a bit more but the weather is cold so maybe she's just tired. I think she's fine now. Her appitite is back to normal and she's back picking at our other dog who is 16 years old. We get the stitches out Friday, and we're good to go.
I hope this helps for reference in the future. Thanks for all your posts and support. |
