[Tiramisu]

Now what do I do? I rescued a 3yo Yorkie boy and a 7mo Maltese girl yesterday. We got them home late evening and spent several hours cleaning and clipping mats. The little boy was in terrible shape. I gave him a big can of food and he's acting better this morning. The little girl's eyes were infected looking so I put ointment in them. They were matted shut this morning, so I worked to get them open and put some eye ointment in that the vet had given me for my little shih tzu.

They'll be off to the vet first thing in the morning and then get scheduled for spay/neuter when they're healthy enough. The girl hasn't had any shots, but looks fairly healthy. They were so matted, we just shaved them off. Their ears were so full of hair, I wanted to scream at the owner.

I'm keeping them separated from my 4 until they get a clear bill of health.

Oh, please don't beat the owner up too much. She has a 1yo child with cerebral palsy and has just become overwhelmed with caring for her. The Maltese was her teenage daughter's pup and she lost interest after the first week.
