There have been posts about furbabies loving their crates because they feel safe in it. Like a den/cave for their ancient ancestors. IMO, I would think that in a new environment she would especially want to be in her "den." Guess time will tell whether she will want to sleep with you when she is more secure. I do understand your desire for her to sleep with you. It is wonderful to feel those little Yorkie bodies up against you at night.
