I've never used the floss either, I've never had to. I either shred the cord myself, with my nails, or I hold it and let mom do it. I have used sepic powder if there is bleeding but most of the time I use iodine. Petedge has a new clotting gel that comes in a syringe that has antimicrobial properties as well and I'm going to order that and use it on my next litter. Never use alcohol as it is an anticoagulate.
