Dark yellow urine is well concentrated (he may have been holding that puddle for a while). Dogs that are dehydrated will also have dark urine, as may pets with liver problems. How old is your Yorkie? If she had been at the groomers all day without drinking she could have gotten a little dehydrated or he may have held his urine too long. If the problem continues then I would get it checked.
