Our breeder had already started our Toto to train to potty pads when we got her at 16 wks., so I believe it was easier. We simply watched and encouraged her and each time she went on the pad we "threw a party"!! She loved the excitement so much that she would get on the pad and strain out a tiny little "quarter sized" bit of water and get excited all by herself just for a tiny little piece of Cheerio!!
We simply use the praise & reward system and she is easily trained to do anything we ask! Good luck with your little girl.
