We use ceramics bowls - wash the water bowls *"constantly" - dry kibble food bowls "daily" - wet food plates after "each use". I use hot sudsy water "daily" and wash in the dish washer "weekly".

*There is no way I could let my babies water bowls go one whole day.

I never know what I'm going to find in there!

And maybe it's because we live in the desert but they both drink alot of water, so I clean it with each fill.
