its been my experience at 6 weeks you are safe at 3x's plus 1 lb the weight and 12 weeks 2x's the weight.
Puppies tend to lose weight during the weaning process around 6 weeks then worming (6-8 weeks) they lose the puppy bloat, settling into a normal weight gain.
