If they were hard to digest, her stomach would be so full of them! She has never had any problems but I am often concerned that she could choke. I am trying to find a replacement treat that I don't have to worry about her choking and that lasts as long as the beef tendon. Any ideas?
The only thing I can think of is a kong. Some people fill them and freeze them to make them last longer. Other treats that last as long as the tendons such as rawhide aren't safe.

The beef tendons are easy to digest when they are chewed into small pieces. I know you said she has never had any problems but it doesn't mean she won't at some time. These are tough treats meant to last. Anything hard and tough like that can cause a problem if swallowed in a chunk. They don't break down the same as when chewed.
I don't mean to harp on about it, I just don't want anything to happen to your Lulu.

Lori, I am so glad she is doing fine. You are right, they are just like toddlers sometimes. You never know what they are going to get into and can really make us worry. Thanks for the update.
