When mine are about 5 weeks I alway put a couple of small stuffed toys for them to gnaw on or an old sock tied in a knot.. Make sure the stuffed toys are not painted because some toys they paint a face on them and the paint could have lead in it. For chewing I like to give mine cow ears that I have cut into small strips using some tin snips. My dogs and puppies love them and they last a long time.
