I was using a canon 18-55 f/3.5-4.5 standard kit lens. (I'm looking into new lenses and I definitely want a 50 f/1.8 and a 24-70 f/2.8 or something similar.) Settings were 1/400 f/5.6 200 ISO. I only recently switched to manual so it that was just guess work.
Post processing I upped the saturation for web and on the b&w's I played with the histograms to get more contrast.

On my screen, the pictures look just a little bit noisy or slightly fuzzy in some parts. If you would raise the shutter speed, it will take a crispier picture. I'm not sure if thats correct, but it works when I do it. Lol. Normally I use Noise Ninja to help get rid of the noisy parts.
In my honest opinion, the kit lens isn't that great. I really don't like it because it doesnt have IS.
