Hi Kate, I missed the post too I guess. If you ever feel a post needs attention don't hesitate to bump it. There's sooo much going on here that sometimes things get overlooked. Also, don't be shy about PMing a member to ask a question. Usually there's someone who can point you in the right direction. About your carpet, I agree with Bettyeanne. Carpeting has chemicals that are emitted that you may not notice but your dog may be sensitive to, especially if it was scotchguarded. I'd try having it professionally cleaned. If it is the carpet, I think I'd also find a place for your dog to rest that is off the carpet. Some people don't allow their pets on the furniture but a compromise would be a throw that the pet can be trained to lay on beside you on the couch. Our babies are so close to the ground. It's hard for them to avoid things in the house that could cause sensitivities. Another suggestion would be to get Sadie a dog bed that she can rest in. But if she's like Bo, she probably wants to be right beside you. I've got a Schnauzer that has had serious sensitivity problems for years. So I know how frustrating it can be. Good luck. Maybe it was just an isolated thing. I'm glad she's feeling better. Let us know how things go.
