I have a female who I have a hard time telling if she is coming in or in heat till she is in standing heat,I have never seen blood on her or the licking or swollen vulva. Actually she is in heat right now and I did not know till the other day and she is already in standing heat. I do not have any other females like her,the rest always bleed ,lick themselves alot, real swollen vulva and behavior changes etc....
It is hard to keep males away from females but can be done!! Seperate rooms and gates all over.It is better if they cannot even see them through the cycle (or smell). It is alot of crying and whining but well worth it when you do not want someone bred.
By 45- 50 days you should be able to feel pups and mamary will be filling up.
To bad she is still a pup though and might be a mommy. Let us know what your vet says. |
