How old is he now? The earlier you get males neutered, the less likely they are to start marking. Before six months is ideal, but if he's older, I'd still get him done asap.
Even if he's not marking now doesn't mean he won't start later on. Often the less desirable male traits like marking don't start until they are more mature, around two years old or even a little older. Certain things can trigger marking in a dog who has never marked before like bringing another dog into the house, even just for a visit. |
