I do not recommend K/D for a liver compromised dog...Although it is low in protein, it contains the wrong *type* of protein. It contains pork liver which is an organ meat and is extremely taxing on the liver and should be completely avoided in liver compromised dogs.
Instead, ask your vet for canned L/D. This is the food recommended for liver compromised dogs
It's much better for them.
