I'm sure they want to check her incision and see if there is any damage, infection, or if she needs to be restitched.

When Lacy was spayed, she seemed to feel fine just a couple days after her spay and I didn't limit her activity. Because she was too active, she tore her internal stitches and had a hernia (no intestines...just fat and omentum). She had to be reopened and restitched. She was kept real still for a week after that. I definitely learned how important it is to limit a dogs activity the week after a spay.
