Yes, this is the same dog, we still have not gotten to the bottom of his actual problem. We had some more labs done last monday. Alk phos showed 309 , alt 184. Everything else in normal range. The vet wanted to do an extensive thyroid panel from univ of michigan, of which the results confused us even more. It showed T 9(normal 15-67), TT3 09.(1.0-2.5), Free t4 6(8-26), tsh 11(0-37), and negative thyroglobulin antibody. The vet was totally unsure as to what this all meant. Some tests represent hypothyroid, but then the tsh is normal. She didnt feel his other labs were indicitive of cushings at this point and suggested a trial of levothyroxine at a dose of 0.1mg/day. She also mentioned the thyroid could be causing the allergy problems, and that we might want to try a low allergy food. He was on the EN because he seemed to be getting gassy from his usual dry dog food, because he wont chew it very well. I am so thankful for you all, I get very valuable info from everyone. Please keep it coming. T
