I pretty much did the same as candacekimble when we got Jeter the last weekend of November. He was just a bit over 1 pound when we brought him home and he did great potting outside. I put a sock sweater on him that I had to make because the jackets were too big on him. He is now almost 5 months old and he is almost 2 pounds and fully potty trained!He lets us know he has to go out. When it's too cold, he goes out and in real fast, no playing around. On nice day's we take a stroll down block.
