That whole thinking doesn't make sense to me. I had tried to adopt a cat from a shelter one time and they gave me the same run around. Then the lady had the nerve to tell me I was a bad mother for wanting to give him children a pet. Boy did I ream her out. I told her I was gonna post her nasty emails on the web so everyone could see what type of a person she was running that shelter. I got so mad I called her an animal horder...lol.
Sorry you got that nonsense for wanting to do a good deed and give her a good home.
