I would try really hard to get a stool spec and take it to the vet. Ask the vet if you need to bring him in and follow his advice. Make sure he drinks plenty of water and stays hydrated. BUT, I still suggest you follow up with your vet...sounds like he has a really irritable bowel problem. Lomotil or Immodium might be ordered..A doc who worked in my clinic used to say "Lomotil is so effective it will stop a terd in mid air!" That is true for doggies too..
