Probably so...I'm sure that this is the reason why LOTS of breeders, registry aside, become defensive...because they are trying to hide something shady going on. Or maybe they get defensive because they DO have a nice good explanation of why their pups are not AKC reg and are tired of being thrown into a lump category w/ a bunch of money hungry, lying millers. Wouldn't that get under your skin after a while?

Again, HOW does the dogs being AKC reg alone give you anything to rely on?
I'm not trying to start an argument, but the theory that "they must be better breeders w/ better dogs because they are AKC registered" gets tossed around alot and it's just not a valid/true statement.
