Well, when a breeder registers their pups with the AKC it kinda gives you more peace of mind that the breeder is more responsible. Some may get defensive because they know they are not "reponsible", otherwise they would have a nice and good explanation of why the pups are not AKC registered. I personally don't mind if they are registered or not. Bengi is not registered. If I would buy from a YT member who's reputable, I wouldn't mind if he's registered or not, because I already know the breeder. But when you know nothing about the breeder, AKC gives you a little more to rely on. |
