Hair loss and thinning hair is a symptom of thyroid problems. Since you took her to the vet and you say her hair is coming back in I feel the vet was probably correct. As far as the toenails, I am not sure. Some dogs just have white toenails but if your dogs nail were black and then turned white it could mean something else. I just looked at my 12 year old girls nails and they are all black. I know in people, if you see white spots on your finger nails it is an indication of a zinc deficiency. |
