Definitely try the canned pumpkin (and make sure you get the 100% pumpkin..not the pie filling). It is a regulator and helps with both constipation and diarrhea.
If you notice any other things wrong with him...not eating, lethargy, vomiting, etc. it could be possible he has a blockage
