i am currently waiting for mine to arrive but i have seen it done
as far as i know it does NOT cauterize as you go.. it's just sand paper and makes the process easier... I go only as far until i can see the quick starting.. Layla is usually pretty good at letting me know if i'm getting close
i guess if his nails are TOO long and you need to get them shorter or less theyw ill just keep gettin glonger... i'd go past the quick but oh the poor little guy
and get ready for blood. If Layla's ever got so long that i coudlnt' control them.. i'd probably ask the vet to cut them but i sure hope that never happens!
